Dr. Michael Williams, a seasoned professional in the veterinary field, has been serving as an Associate Veterinarian since October 1977. His journey in the industry began after graduating from Mineola High School in 1969, followed by obtaining a degree from Tyler Junior College in 1971 and completing his education at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974.
The roots of Dr. Williams’ career took hold when he founded the North Tyler Veterinary Clinic in 1977, an establishment he owned and operated until 2022. Throughout his 49-year career, he developed a deep passion for working with large animals and preventing infectious diseases, forming lasting connections with countless friends through the care of their beloved animals.
His conviction in choosing the right profession solidified after experiencing the joy of delivering his first calf and witnessing the birth of a healthy baby calf. Dr. Williams’ dedication to veterinary medicine is further reflected in his active involvement in professional organizations. He is a founding member of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association, a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and a Lifetime Member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
In addition to these accolades, Dr. Williams holds an Honorary FFA Degree from Lindale FFA and Chapel Hill FFA, and he is a Double Diamond Member of the Former Students Association of Texas A&M. His commitment to the profession extends to memberships in the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Williams embraces family life, being a devoted husband and father to a daughter, two sons, and two daughters-in-law. His role as a grandfather to six granddaughters brings him immense joy. Beyond family, he finds fulfillment in hiking, traveling with the Traveling Aggies, and engaging in ranching and farming activities. Dr. Michael Williams’s multifaceted life reflects a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine, community service, and the joys of family and outdoor pursuits.
